Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Oman’s Wilayat of Mahdha opened on Friday

Appointed by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah al- Salmi, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has opened the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Mahdha area in Al Buraimi Governorate of Oman on Friday, 9th of Dhul Hijjah 1435 AH (October 3rd, 2014).

The masjid has been built on 20,220 square meters and building area is 3,183 square meters.

The new Sultan Qaboos Mosque includes a 44.829 square meters main hall that would be able to contain 1,152 people, in addition to 50.124 square meters prayer hall for women that would be able to accommodate up to 166 people. There is also a Islamic library and three classrooms and administration office.
